Cleaning and Care

Made from PET fibers, Qwel tiles offer stain resistance and easy upkeep, often with just soap and water. Follow these simple guidelines to keep your tiles looking like new.

General Cleaning

Qwel designer acoustic tiles are made from synthetic polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers so they clean very well with virtually no damage to the color or construction itself. PET fibers are made of recycled water and soda bottles.

In most cases, a simple solvent of soap and water can be used to remove stains. Most commercially available laundry, carpet, and upholstery cleaners do an excellent job removing stains. For more severe instances, household bleach is effective.

Due to the dyeing process of the fibers, PET felt retains its colorfastness when cleaned with bleach. Material should air-dry. No heat should be used to speed the drying process.

Dust + Debris Removal

A vacuum or air compressor should be used as needed to remove any dust or debris that may have accumulated on the tiles. Nozzle attachment tools for vacuums are especially useful when cleaning between tiles.

Disinfection

For disinfection, most common EPA-registered household disinfectants should be effective. Additionally, diluted household bleach solutions (at least 1000ppm sodium hypochlorite) can be sprayed onto the tiles for disinfection.

5-Year Limited Warranty

Qwel™ tiles are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects when installed and used as intended for five years from the date of purchase.
